Rory's got new pictures from Burma up. I also went back through his Ireland shots. They brought back some great memories from last year.

Derek, I have no idea what you're talking about. The fire-breathing Mozillas you encounter on your wild Safaris frighten me.

I'll try not to endanger any of your livelihoods with this post...
Jason Mraz, Waiting for My Rocket to Come [Elektra, 2002]
I guess I'm a little behind on this guy. I had never heard of him until I caught him on Austin City Limits a couple of months ago. His album has been out since 2002, but he has only recently begun to get any airplay or album sales.
Mraz is a 26 year old native Virginian that briefly studied musical theatre in New York before moving to the West Coast a few years ago to follow his musical dreams.
His music is an amalgamation of folk rock and the wordiness and rhyme of hip hop. This combination is made more interesting by instrumentation on the album that includes banjo, lap steel, wurlitzer, ukulele and more in addition to the standard fare.
Highlights on the album are the uptempo tunes, "The Remedy" and "Curbside Prophet." Mraz is another creative young singer/songwriter in the ilk of John Mayer that gives some hope that good music is not doomed in the next generation.
