Roger Ebert reviewed Luther. I guess I wouldn't expect much different from him or the rest of the lot. I just don't know where he's coming with some of the comments. Sanitized? I didn't see that at all.
I read that Luther grossed about $730k in the first weekend. That's going to make it tough to get their $30M or so back. I guess that is for a limited release though. I also read that a group called Thrivent Financial for Lutherans funded the project and saw it primarily as a gift to the Lutheran Church.
